Mentor U – An Intensive Mindfulness online program for Educators
Fundamental course for Educators:
Teachers are the most important leaders that we have. Trust, sense of belong, emotional safety, connection, commitment etc..are taught in the smallest of ‘classroom’ moments. It is served not through massive, heroic sort of events, but through paying attention, focused listening and gestures of genuine care.
On the other hand, educating and mentoring students is challenging. Its tough, high – stakes work, that often results in stress, overwhelm and in most cases burnouts. Adding to this stress is often an educators own lack of social-emotional strategies for dealing with the emotional intensity of the job that diminishes his/her effectiveness as a teacher.
What is the core objective of this course?
The core objective of this course is to introduce you to the science, strategies and Mindful practices that support positive states of mind, moves you from a reactive or a responsive state and elevates levels of focus and contentment.
The five-week online course is designed to teach you the fundamental of mindfulness through a series of videos, readings, reflection worksheets, podcasts, group practices and guided mindfulness practices. “Call from your coach” makes it more personal and gives you the right direction to apply them in your daily life.

Week 1: Noticing & Observing – A Mindful Skill – This lesson teaches you to strengthen the observing mind.
Week 2: Mindfulness of body ( Mind – Body Alignment) – Mindfulness through bodyfulness
Week 3: The Power of Gratitude – Cultivating Acceptance, Joy and Presence
Week 4: Bringing Mindfulness to Eating – The Zen of Eating
Week 5: Managing stress and feeling of overwhelm – 3 ways to breathe away stress and worry

How different is this program to any other mindfulness program offered online?
Mentor U is a program designed by Mindfulness experts and educators exclusively for Indian teachers. India being a diverse country, our cultures, values, attitude, language and challenges differ and hence establishing context is easier. This is also not a generic stress management program, but a specific one that is directed towards making you more confident. Your Mentor will understand and customise learning based on your needs and goals.
How much time do I need to invest?
This is a self-directed course. You study at your own pace and practice with your Mentor once in a week. Our intention is to help you ease work, to reflect, go deeper into experiences and not overload you with heavy intellectual text. Mentor U is an experiential & hands-on, that will help you learn with ease and comfort. No worries!
What if I need more practice and sessions with my Mentor?
This is possible! You can check with your Mentor and extend your learning sessions based on practice. Your Mentor may or may not charge a nominal fee. This depends on the scope of work.
What is the fee for the program?
The program offers you 5 week of learning sessions, 5 sessions with your Mentor, Mindful Pause handbook, Zentangle workbook, Call with your Mentor once in a week, weekly assignments and support for 3 weeks. The program fee for the same is at Rs 7500/-.
These include weekly live sessions by Mindful educators who guide you through the processes. You also practice with your fellow educators and come back for a Q and A with your coach.
