Sonography Study – Healthcare

Study Type: Sample only – mixed methodology health care study

Geography:  India

Sample Size:  20

Target Group: Sonographers/Lab Technicians who perform sonography  and general physicians

Introduction

In India, ARDMS a well know certification program of US is interested in reaching out to sonography professionals in order to obtain their opinions and feedback on prevailing sonography techniques/it’s uses in India. They would also interested in learning awareness of ARDMS certification among professionals in Indian market.

10 Doctors/Physicians, 10 Sonographers

Complete recruitment of Sonographer/Chief Sonography technicians who are not doctors via F2F methodology and convince them to participate in an online survey which was hosted at client’s end. The normal time they were to spend answering is 1-1.5  hr. /day.

Approach

We outsourced this project to our local health care vendor.

Recruited Sonographers from different hospitals using F2F methodology

Shared the links and was in constant touch with field vendor and Client to ensure the online interview is taking place at the agreed timeline.

We needed to ensure a good spread of people who are in different level of Sonography

Due to time differences and online survey links issues , we had to apply a word document with question approach to fill in the responses of respondents as they were not willing to share their opinions being online for 75 minutes per day.

Outcome

Since target audience was niche group getting hold of each and everyone’s time to make them complete a survey was altogether a tough task.

The responses given by few of the recruited physicians and sonographers were very short which didn’t serve client purpose, hence had to re-conduct/redo the online exercise.

We couldn’t get hold of our last respondents hence had to pay them additional incentives to recruit them within timeline.

Photos and Videos which were optional was supposed to be uploaded to the survey.

We delivered 18 completed out of 20.

Client was happy with pro-activeness and services we rendered to them.
